I'm really not either. But I love to go so I usually get someone who is creative go with me and tell me what would be cute or what could be done with a piece.

And it's fun to people watch too

I can be the creative type, but I try to steer clear of garage sales and junkin, cuz I've got TOO MUCH STUFF already! Having a pack rat personality, I tend to collect things with the thought "I could really do something with this!" But I never do, and if I want to, I can never find what I'm looking for amongst my STUFF!

However, there was one time that I found a wicker table or laundry basket out by the curb in a neighbor's trash, and...

I can spend a day going from one antique shop to another. I love it, I always go in thinking there is something in here that I can not live without. My job? Find it!!!

Most times I don't find it though.

I love a good swap meet too, but we don't have any good meets left around here. :( :(

My daughter-in-law's family business is the auction business. I go to a lot of them and boy OH BOY can you find some cool stuff cheap. I got three teak bar stools that I now have on my back porch/tiki bar. My favorite auctions to go to are older people who haven't changed their homes/furniture since the sixties (or even fifties)......SUCH COOL STUFF ! Especially if they were drinkers and partiers. Neat drinkware and furniture, decorating stuff !!! I love old glasses (I collect antique jewelry and Texan glasses) !! [smilie=gt-happyup.gif]
