. .I bet there are a lot of BN'ers that are creative out there. . getting things from Junk Stores or yard sales, to turn into cool ideas for decorating your home . .
. .I am postively one of those " junkers " . .and love to pick up things for pennies, then turn them into something " different " . .
. .last weekend I bought an old, openweave lace table cloth that is HUGE . . cost, 25 cents . . I'm gonna run it thru an extension rod in front of my shower curtain . . and hang little Christmas ornaments and trinkets on it . .
. .sounds kinda quirky, but cute to me. .
. .anyone else out there that likes to do the same kinda thing . . ? ?

I've never been to a yard sale and I don't plan on changing that anytime soon.

I'm using a lace tablecloth as a sheer curtain in my kitchen.
I love to garage sail, flea market and antique shop. I found a awesome antique vanity this weekend for only 175 but didn't buy it

Don found a candy dish just like the one his mom used to have so I was happy.

I admire people who can do stuff like that. The only thing I can make out of trash is basically, more trashy trash

THOSE ARE GREAT PRICES!! What a bargain!!
Oatmeal pattern sounds somewhat familiar. Your description is also somewhat familiar too. I'm not into glass wear or china much but if I were it would be more along the lines of blue danube or onion china and carnival glass. I LOVE CARNIVAL GLASS!!

I LOVE to garage sale, antique shop etc. (I seem to remember breaking my wrist at a garage sale)
I buy lots of old jewelry and use it on my felted purses.
I picked up a couple of old bi fold doors that we are now using in our shop as a display for our wares.

You would just DIE at First Monday in Canton Texas. 7000 vendors. I take a wagon - or 2 just to haul stuff. People take their campers there because it's 4 days of bliss!!
