Jake Shimabukuro on Good Morning America

Hot off the (email) presses:

Jake will be performing on Good Morning America on November 23rd at 7am. Its a two hour show and we are not sure when Jake's bit will air, so watch the whole broadcast, or if you are lucky enough to have DVR...record it!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! I am supposed to be in NYC that day anyway! I have friends coming from Cali who are staying in the city! They are parrotheads too! I am sure they would be up for going to see Jake!

I would come East... I'd be home for Thanksgiving.

Would it be easier to fly into JFK, Newark or LaGuardia?

LaGuardia's probably the closest to midtown Manhattan where Good Morning America's studio is but it's a s**ithole of an airport. JFK is a longer trip but you can take the train into midtown - the AirTrain from the airport to the Jamaica Long Island Railroad station then the LIRR into Penn Station. GMA's studio is 10 blocks north of Penn Station. I've never flown into or out of Newark so I can't comment on how hard or easy it is to get from there to midtown. I think there's an AirTrain like JFK has and there's also a Penn Station in Newark so you can probably take the AirTrain, then NJ Transit into NY's Penn Station.

I just found out Jake is coming to Jacksonville in April!! Saw him last time he was here and it was fantastic! Now all i need to do is find someone who wants to go since most people I know would say "who"?

I just realized, that's the day after Thanksgiving isn't it? As close as I am to GMA's studio I might not be able to make it.

I think the Highline Ballroom is a new venue. At least to me it is, I've never been there and I'm not sure I even know where it is.

Yes, started up in April, 2007---its a 700 seat venue at 431 W 16 St between 9th and 10th Aves in the meatpacking district...near my apartment, actually

general admission seating, first come first seated....doors open at 6 pm....$10 min per person at tables, full dinner menu...

I got 4 tickets...better check out that menu!!!!

I will be bringing friends and look forward to seeing some BN folks also!!!...???
