Buffett Fined for Water Guzzling

Post by Parrotthed »

According to today's Wall Street Journal, Jimmy Buffett has been fined $100 "for unspecified water violations" by Palm Beach Police. Buffett is among several "water guzzlers" named in Palm Beach who are using large amounts of water to keep their estates green, despite city restrictions. Read the full article: "What Drought? If this is accurate, and I hope it isnt.....I can only say "shame on you, Mr. Buffett!! Come on now, what's more important, your grass or the local water supply?? "

I bet he doesnt even realize it, and will have his landscape folks stop violations. Yeah, I believe it.....I believe it!!!

Yeah, wait till the shock of that hundred dollar fine hits home with Jimmy.
It's easy to just shrug it off for now, but when he realizes what sacrifices he and his family will have to make to balance their budget after paying the fine, he'll understand that a green lawn is just not worth it.

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,

Tonight I just need my guitar

Jimmy, I'd suggest a little more "hand-on" management style for awhile, those who work for you have gotten you some bad press recently. Illegal water usage during a drought, the Carrot-head lawsuit, management scheduling concerts during MOTM. Might be small details to you, but the buck stops at your desk. It shouldn't be difficult to let your managers know what your beliefs are, and tell them to adhere to them. :-?

does anyone actually believe Jimmy sets up the timers on his irrigation system? Maybe he can put in his own desalinization plant and sell off the excess agua 8)
you can't lay on the beach and drink rum all day if you don't start in the morning 8)

Somehow, i suspect, it would more likely be Jane...she's the organizer and manager in the family it seems.....

This could have been avoided if everyone in the house only took 5 minute showers.
