They are releasing the first couple of seasons of Sesame Street on DVD, which I think is totally awesome because I grew up with it.
But there is going to be a warning label on them:
“These early ‘Sesame Street’ episodes are intended for grown-ups, and may not suit the needs of today’s preschool child.”
I've heard this is mostly because of the pipe from Monsterpiece Theater but even the creators are saying that they probably couldn't have a character like Oscar the Grouch if the show was created today.
So what do you guys think about this?

Sesame Street gets an MA rating?
This is the most ludicrious thing I've heard in a long time. What kind of message does this send? Oscar the Grouch will warp kids' minds, but a dimwitted sponge in jockey shorts is a role model?
Just one more thing that makes me grateful I'm not trying to raise a child today.
