ATLANTA -- In a perfect world, Tom Glavine and the Braves never would have parted ways. Fortunately, fate and a strong mutual desire have reunited them and given the celebrated southpaw the opportunity to conclude his storied career where it began
What I'll be interested to see is the reception he gets by the fans here in Atlanta. I'm sure he'll be cheered, but considering that the reason people booed him in the first place (he left for a hated rival strictly for more money) hasn't really changed.
I knwo he is older and his stamina has dropped, but signing him, and hopefully getting Hampton back after two years, should give the Braves a fairly stout rotation - Smoltz, Hudson, Glavine and Hampton and two or three younger pitchers to choose from to be #5.
Good riddance! He was never a Met anyway. I will use his mets jersey for the bottom of my bird cage. Great last game as a Met! Sorry I am just a bitter Mets fan.

Because you won soooo many when he was there last time?
Hope this goes better than Greg Maddux's return to the Cubs.
Bad, Captain, Baaaaaad!!!!!
I'm glad Glavine is coming back home.....true he's not the ace he once was, but maybe he has at least one more good year in him. With him, Smoltz, and Hampton.....the Braves pitching might be above par next year!!!!
