Tell me why you put them away in perfect running condition one year and when you retrieve them the following year they don't work I try to put up my outside lights before TG each year but it doesn't look like it's going to happen this year

It's not the point, they were working when I put them away last year, they should be working again this year. I ended up getting new lights, put them all out and went to light them up and bang one of the new strands were defective so back I went ripping them down, talked to myself quite irately all the way back to the store, gave up for the night. As of right now I'm going to have a small electric bill this year

a few weeks ago my new neighbor mentioned that he's the king of Christmas lights.
Well, we'll see about that!!!I'll start putting mine up after turkey day.

I started Griswalding my home about 2 weeks ago. Only have 2 weekdays off a week to do anything so had to start a bit early. Hoping to have them all up and on Monday night, if not then next Thurs. for sure.
Ok,I put mine up,after we ate our Turkey we flipped them on and, like every year some of them dont work!!!! It sucks, now today I will have to grab up a couple more strands and throw them up!!!
Ummmmm, from the sounds of things, there must be a HUGE draw on ConEd our whomever supplies the wattage out there! Griswolding has become part of the world's vocabulary!
We decided a few years back to "green" up our outside decorations more. So we have cut back to three lower watt floods, aimed at our house where we have big, REAL, compostable-later, fir wreaths with reusable cones and ribbons, holly from our own bushes, etc. It is understated, but looks elegant. We don't get the surge in power bill that poor ol' Clark did!!!!
