Dirty Hotels

You just gotta love hotels. I hope it isn't a common practice.

However, I've always wondered about a hotel that uses glass glasses and not disposibles......I've wondered if I'm using the same glasses over and over and .................

wouldn't surprise me - these days groceries are a crap shoot when it comes to your health.

I usually take my own coffee cup - it's big and can be used for hot or cold drinks.

I think it was travel expert Peter Greenberg that said one of the first things you should do is to take off the top cover as they usually do not get washed between every guest. Traces of bodily fluids have been found on them.

Unfortunately, hotels end up being my home away from home about half of every month.

I've seen some pictures taken under black light conditions (the kind the CSI guys use) and it's pretty disgusting what the bedspreads, furniture and other items in the average hotel room are covered with. If it can leak out of a human body at some point it's there. Ugh!

And the average hotel room TV remote should come equipped with a condom (judging from what they find on them).

GAK.....hotel rooms are inherently skeevy......but OMG....
esp the one with the lady cleaning the toilet and then the glasses with the same poo gloves.....

I guess this isn't much different than the story about the stewardesses who allegedly use hotel coffee makers to launder their undergarments on long trips.

Not sure if that one is an urban legend or not.

I will never make coffee in my room again, or use another glass, will pack my own from now on...... just never dawned on me before, that they weren't cleaning them. I like it when they have the disposable plastic cups that are sealed.

Oddly in recalling most of the hotels I've been to as of late have been the individual use plastic wrapped cups. I only use the hotels for the hourly rate so I don't get to venture into their stemware too much . . . .
