Buffett Performed in Washington DC

Post by phjim »

Jimmy Buffett and Mac McAnally did a special show at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington DC this past Sunday December 9th. There's a video from part of the show at youtube (thanks to atom2385 for passing that along to us).

It was a special show for all the marines. He went to the hospital and visited the marines there too. He played all the favorites, Son of a Sailor, Volcano, Margaritaville, It's 5 o'clock Somewhere, and many others. (thanks to FunkHouse9)

Jimmy was in DC and he didn't call me? He usually always calls when he's in town. I better go check my voice mail and see if it's working!    8)
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

I had a reply from the nurse who put the video up and she said it was great opportunity to see Jimmy and a personal concert for our military marines and a few nurses were invited.

She said it was something she'll never forget. :)

I KNEW I felt a tropical breeze blowing here and had a (unusual for December) desire to put on my flip flops and coconut bra!
