When I read the subject line refering to "Buffett News," for some reason my mind thought of the top stories that occuerd in the on line community. Maybe there should be a seperate poll for things like Opperation Flip Flop, Christmas Angel, Winning the Anguilla trip, etc.... all things that happened among BN'ers.
got to stop wishin' got to start fishin'....

Playing at Walter Reed for the injured troops was nice, too.
i think that one gets my vote! And when he "liberated" some of the troops from there and brought them to the Nissan show! :D :D 8) 8) 8)
Makes the top of my list.
and i just love how he managed to do it "under the radar" until after it was done and those troops and their families got to really enjoy it! 8) 8) 8) 8)

drunk pirate said the shows were sold out.

And for the record, Buffett's largest single concert attendance was at Buckeye Lake in Columbus...80,000 fans at one show.

For me, the biggest story would be the Anguilla show. Here's my reasoning. It was well done, publicized and documented, and made a lot of money for a good cause.
If you had said Jimmy's feel good story of the year, then the Walter Reed event or a few others might get my vote. But, in 10 years, what are people going to remember about 2007? Probably Jimmy's Anguilla show.

On a personal note, I'll probably remember 2007 as the year I took my fiance to her first JB show at Gillette, and he played Scarlet Begonias which helped her transition from former Deadhead to Parrothead go that much easier. :D That show was also when I was turned onto BN by MalibuRumGirl

Sorry to offend all the Hillary fans out there. I am sure Jimmy Thanks you. And I know you all support whatever he does.

Oh Yea, Jimmy and Kerry did fine in '04.

I guess its wrong to disagree with Jimmy on his politics.

And my one vote means the same as his liberal vote!!!

Everyone has their own opinion regarding politics, and once again, this thread has nothing to do with politics.

I'm not a fan of Hillary.
I do not support whatever Jimmy does.
Nope, not wrong to disagree with Jimmy and his politics.
I'm not liberal, conservative, or any political affiliation.
This is simply not what this thread is about.

I would look to the Casino project rebuilding Biloxi. It is a good endeavor to rebuilding the hurricane ravaged area grew up around. It also is the creation of a place "WE" as Parrotheads may be able to go for years to come to capture that "Feel".

It will provide jobs and revenue to a much needed area and it will give Jimmy a place to retire and play Tue, THurs, and Saturdays in both and earlybird and dinner show until the bitter end and WE WILL GO . . . We know we will.

The Parrot Dice Lounge kinda like a mirage. Here today and gone tomorrow. You should stop by and say hello when visiting Chicago on tour.
