He spent not that much time at all in iowa compared to the rest and still managed to tie for third and spent not nearly as much as thompson. (i doubt thompson will stay in much longer if he keeps finishing third. I know, from a very reliable source, that his days are numbered if he doesn't do well in south carolina)

McCain is very much ahead in the polls, and huckabee winning is going to hurt romney and by extension help mccain.

I still think huckabee is running for vice president.

The best ticket to come out of the republican party... McCain Huckabee'08

I would vote for obama over romney or guliani and I am a card carrying die hard republican. only because guliani is not presidental material, he is a head of the DOD type, and rommey has changed his positions so many times he is worse than kerry. If he has stuck to his guns maybe I could have respect him enough to vote, there is just something so slick about him, too polished or something. I just think he is more of the same. It would be like re-electing bill clinton or something. i can't imagine anything worse... well actually electing hillary is worse. ugh, clinton's we all hate you please go away.
I would vote that ticket . . . McCain/ Huckabee
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

As a right wing whacko, I would have considered Richardson because of his experience as governor of a state. I don't understand why the democratic party didn't push him a little, he seemed a little more moderate than the favored candidate, ok I answered my own question....Biden never.

I would vote for obomba if he was up against Rudy. In this case I would be voting for the Dems to have a one term liberal in office instead of the republicans. Plus the republicans deserve to lose if they nominate Rudy the dirtbag with the same dirty laundry - and worse that the Republicans have used in attack ads against their opponents in the past. This is the same reason I haven't been into Romney, he has a history of flipping and flopping to get elected. It pains me to be a right wing whacko and see the party committing the same indiscressions that we attacked the leftys for.

I guess I don't understand.
Somehow that doesn't surprise me.

And the only thing Obama "won" was he had a bunch of people sitting around drinking apple cider for three hours SAYING they like him better than the other democrats.
That and $5.95 plus tax will get you a HOOTERS burger with bacon, grilled onions, & pepper jack cheese and an order of curly fries.
A CAUCUS is simply that. A CAUCUS!
Nobody actually "voted," so yes, for the most part, going to a caucus MAY be a waste of time, but, then again, it CAN be a good thing, if, for no other reason, to see how the voters of IOWA feel. It's absolutely no indication as to how the rest of the country will vote come November.
The only thing that gives ME any hope after last night is the fact that 70% of the people who participated in the Hawkeye Cawk-eye caucused AGAINST Queen Hillary. But that's IOWA. The rest of her kool aid drinkers around the country are out in force, and, no doubt, as we speak, are in the trenches trying to dig up dirt on Senator Obama. As I said earlier, if I were him, I would not turn my back on Her Royal Highness anytime soon.
When all is said & done, and November DOES get here, Iowa is only 7 electoral votes anyway (that will change to only 6 after 2010), so YES, the media DOES overplay the importance of what happens here.

The ONLY predictions I'll make at this time (of which I would love to be proven wrong) is that if Governor Huckabee or Senator McCain end up getting the G.O.P. nomination, the Republicans will go down in flames in the general election. Any of the other candidates would give the Republicans a CHANCE. (Not saying they'd win-just a CHANCE to win).
That wouldn't happen with Huckabee or McCain. (And possibly Gov. Romney).
I like Huckabee a lot, but the Democrats treat him as if he were the modern day Jerry Falwell, and, unfortunately, so do some in his own party, who would "get mad & stay home" if he were the nominee, thereby giving the election to Senator Obama, Senator Edwards, Her Royal Highness, or whoever DOES end up being the Democrat nominee. (Of which I'm also prediciting will be H.R.H.).

But I had fun last night, and it's only going to get MORE intense from this point on.
