Chicago Rumour

Post by Pirate slightly over 50 »

Ive heard that the Cubs are considering another Jimmy Concert this year. It would only be 1 show instead of the 2 he did a few years ago. No date has been set as of yet.

Has the Cubs sale gone through yet? I don't see them doing anything outside of Baseball until that sale is complete. A stadium show summer would make sense, less shows, more fans per show.

I enjoyed the Wrigley shows...don't get me wrong.

But that was a "once-in-a-lifetime (or twice in a weekend)" deal....don't want it again!!!

My source is someone in the Police Dept. They have to be involved from the outset.

I loved Fenway (I have his sandal from the friday show) . . . but after the Red Sox winning the World Series that year; after Jimmy "broke the curse" I think he will let that lie where it is . . . but then again, who knows? I can't see it happening though.

If he does Fenway and/or Wrigley again, I think I'd probably pass on both of them. I'd rather go see him someplace I haven't seen him before, or someplace I've been to that has better acoustics than a baseball stadium.

True.....but i don't think he is a miracle worker to think he could exercise the demons or curse at Wrigley!!!....unless he brings a goat out on stage!!!..but that could get ugly!!

I was very surprised that he didn't do something for the Cubs similar to what he did for the Red Sox. Not that I actually believe Jimmy broke the Curse of the Bambino . . . but it would have been cool out at Wrigley too

How about the Pirates? Didn't he play at PNC that same year?

Citizen's Bank Park in Philly too. And playing Minute Maid Park last year didn't help the Astros.

I thought the agreement was that concerts at Wrigley could only happen every other year. The Police played their last summer, so this would involve some major negotiations with the neighborhood organizations.

I wasn't going to go to any shows this year. After last year, I decided it was getting too pricey (with having to buy tickets for the keets), but I may have to reconsider if he plays Wrigley.

Hiya EJR!

I'd pass on this show too for something I haven't been to. I'd honestly miss the tailgating too much this time around. I enjoyed the experience the 1st go round and it got me into Wrigley Field but thats enough for me.

NO WRIGLEY JIMMY! NO!
The Parrot Dice Lounge kinda like a mirage. Here today and gone tomorrow. You should stop by and say hello when visiting Chicago on tour.
