funny how mental illness just sneaks on in after these celebrities make their 500,000,000 dollars . . . never happens before . . . don't kid yourself . . . she is nothing more than a substance abusing attention whore.

I seriously doubt this is anything new, she's shown instability for years.
Mental illness knows no socio-economic boundries.

Of course she needs to recognize the need to get help, but it's not unusual for ANYONE with bipolar/substance abuse issues to deny their problems until they "hit bottom" and lose everything.

She has now (temporarily) lost her kids, and you would think that would motivate her to seek help. Hopefully it does, but she still has a "lifestyle" (& life) to lose too.

EDIT: Even at their young age, those kids are aware there are problems in the family and need to have therapy to cope with their Mother's problems.

Same could be said for all mothers who are in jail because they broke the law. If you break the law (and Spears has numerous times as we all know . . . drugs, hit and runs, drunk driving, others) you should go to jail . . . especially for numerous narcotic offenses.

....because incarceration/jail has proven that it does wonders for f**k ups, drugs users/abusers?

in the very least, she needs to be declared incompetent, a trusted family member, or court appointee to oversee a recovery/treatment plan.

drug abuse is only a by-product of her problems.

there is a multitude of young women/men, that are in her same situation, only difference, Brit's is being played out in the media/public...

some years ago, Drew Barrymore was headed in the same direction Brit is and she's done very well since seeking therapy.....
