Or dogs or kids....
I love to hear about peoples pets, but my eyes glaze over when they talk endlessly about their kids soccer, band, dance, etc. etc. However, I know they feel the same when I go on about Amber and Nutmeg so we are even
I always love reading about people's pets, and especially how they spoil them. Keep THOSE stories coming.

For me, it's not so much topic-related, as people-related.
There are some folks who could talk about almost anything and I'd listen.
There are others who could be telling me how to give myself CPR and all I'd hear is "blah, blah, blah, blah...."
Think it hinges on whether that person actually converses WITH you, or directs a monologue AT you... or just jabbers to hear their head rattle.![lol3 [smilie=lol3.gif]](./images/smilies/lol3.gif)

My eyes glaze over when I hear those 47 prompts or pre-recorded, i-can-interpret-what-you-need-in-a-fake-conversation voice whenever you need to call some d&*$ customer service line. I just wait for the part that most means I might get a live human being.
They also glaze over when the customer service person reiterates all the information the computer voice just gleaned from me, like the phone line I am calling about, the problem that I've already reported 47 times. (yes, I have been fighting w/ Verizon at work for 3 business days now, and I'm a little bitter.)
I totally tune out when they say, "I'm so sorry for your inconvienence (sure you are), I can help you with that (no you can't, or you would have 3 f'ing days ago)."
I also tune out when people are whining about how tough they have it, blah blah blah. And TV shows and hollywood BS.
