s***, if I knew that, we should have met up. The friend of mine who was with me, and myself met up with chippewa at the Cask n Flaggen at the end of the game.
I probably walked right past you on my way to the T.
Probably. Met up with chippewa and his wife. Are you going to Newport today? If not, I MAY meet up with chippewa today.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Bay did better than Manny. Dodgers are going to give up a lot of runs with Manny out in left field. He literally looked foolish. Bay and Manny were both in game winning situations. Bay hit a shot off the wall and eventually scored the game winning run . . . Manny grounded into a double play (after he looked like a little leaguer out in left).

Amazingly, though, to give the A$S hole credit . . . Manny did run out an infield hit. Hows that knee feeling now?
Well, running out the infield hit probably made it more sore.

Did you see on boston.com that Nomar, and Lowe are agreeing with Manny when he said that the Red Sox want to run their stars out of town if they don't think the stars won't resign by bringing out negative comments?
I found it ironic that the Dodgers had to put Nomar on the DL to make room for Manny. Back in 2003 the Sox offered a contract extension of 4 yrs and $60M that Nomar turned down. In those 4 years Nomar's salary has totalled less than $33M (55%). Not bad considering he's only played in 332 out of 596 games (56%). I guess the percentages work out about even then.

What gets a player "run out of town" in Boston is putting themselves ahead of the team when other guys are putting it on the line night after night. Look at Mike Lowell, playing every night with a strained hip flexor.

Players who invent injuries (Manny) or players who won't put themselves out because they don't "feel right" (Nomar) can go play elsewhere and good riddance!

It's all part of Theo Epstien's master plan to build a team of automatrons. Anyone who shows any independent thought, GONE!

Manny just liked to have fun...although I think the time had come for him to leave Boston, I wouldn't be surprised if Theo was behind the bad press.

He's the latest from the "Idiots" to go.

Remember the great personalities from the 2004 team?

Johnny Damon? GONE along with his beard
Kevin Millar? GONE
Manny Ramirez? GONE
Pedro Martinez? GONE along with his dwarf
Derek Lowe? GONE
Bronson Arroyo? GONE along with his dreadlocks
Curt Schilling? LIKELY GONE along with his sock

The only guys left with any kind of personality are David Ortiz and Jon Papelbon...they better watch out!!!

Otherwise, this team is talented but boring to anyone outside of Boston.

They can bore me all the way to another WS championship.

I have a hunch that the Tampa Bay Rays will break the team record for wins...record is 70 wins, they are 66-45.

Looks like David Ortiz may have to be shut down for the season (not saying he will). He hurt the same wrist that he hurt earlier in the season.

Never happen. Too much of a long shot . . . 5 wins needed with 50 games left . . . too much pressure.

On a side note, if the Rangers can pull out another win or two against the Yankees they make the AL Wild Card pretty darn interesting.

Rays will win the East, the Twins will take the East over the Boston Robot Sox

(I'm actually kinda serious about the Twins thing....they have a lot of games left against the Mariners, A's and Royals...27 total)

Both AL and NL are just exciting. Regardless of whatever reason people want to put on it the Red Sox just don't have it this year. They could slide into the playoffs . . . maybe not but they just don't have it.

I think alot of people feel the same way about the Twins but I mean seriously; the White Sox . . . even the Tigers . . . AND the Twins are all serious threats to make the World Series. Tigers being the long shot, IMO.

Rangers could slide in . . . although doubtful . . .

Both the Red Sox AND Yankees could miss playoffs which I am not totally against although I doubt it will happen.

50 games left . . . it is time for the Angels to start resting K - Rod for the playoffs. Not benching him . . .but not giving him every save oppurtunity.

The NL is just a mess. Good luck calling that! Good lord!

The way the Mets are going now and with their pitchers dropping like flies, they'll be lucky to hold onto 3rd place.

Maybe the Angels are giving him a rest early so that they could start using him at the end of the year to gear him up for the playoffs?
