WHJY in Providence had this song sung to the tune of the Beverly Hillbillies.

It's the Ballad of Jed Lowrie. Pretty funny.

Aside from putting the butt back in Butt Ugly. I never like him as a player. His talent was amazing. I just thought he was nothing more then a hired gun, no real loyalty to any team. When the D-backs got bad he whined he wanted to go to the Yankees. He just never really appealed to me as a ball player

Go Red Sox (this coming from a Chicago Cub fan)

Heard this on WEEI (sports talk 850AM Boston this morning):

Caller: the best thing would be for that pr*ck Brett Myers to throw at Manny and drill him in the elbow. Manny charges the mound and breaks his hand pounding that wife beating as$hole's head into the dirt. They both have to sit out the rest of the season and the fans can actually cheer their teams without supporting these jerks.

I don't think so. I had thought, that the longer you leave Lowe in the more frustrating he is to batters. (Maybe it's just me remembering it that way)

I think that the Phils were able to make Lowe raise his pitches.

I didn't know this BUT the Rays have the 9th youngest rotation in Major League post season history. Two of the teams that were brought up were the 1986 Mets and the 1916 Red Sox. I don't know the other 6.

Bingo, everyone but Ryan Howard, I agree!!!! They will have to pitch to him now, Pat the bat, has his swing back, 3 home runs in last 4 games and it couldn't happen at a better time :D :D :D :D

Go Phillies!!!!!

I didn't think those were bad pitches that the Phillies hit for the home runs. Utley & Burrell did a good job of going down to reach them.

40 years ago today the Tigers beat the Cards in game 7 of the '68 series.
Gee, I hope the next round of the A.L. playoffs start soon..... :-?
