Your pictures are wonderful, Penny! The food looks scrumptious and, living away from family, you made me miss the good times of a family gathering on holidays! Thanks for sharing.

And, if I'm not mistaken, that's the Punchbowl in the upper right hand corener. Great shot. Love the pink hotel (Royal Hawaiian) on the beach. Stayed there ... what a grand lady she is.
Gentilly ... 42 years is a long time to wait .... a Northeast Texas woman can hope.

Imagine coming home from 6 hours of wildlife watching yesterday to find THIS in my backyard:
I think he was seeking asylum from anyone thinking about cooking him for Easter dinner.
It's a Muscovy Duck.

These ones are hard to miss...they are HUGE. Supposedly they have vulture ancestry, as evidenced by their faces.
Right after I posted that pic I looked out the window and he was back! But he took off, not sure where he went but I did see him fly a bit. Hopefully he just went over to another one of the ponds/canals.

Oh I miss that view!!! If you haven't yet... go to Teddy's and get a kick @ss burger! (Its at the last intersection of businesses where you turn left to go to Honozoolu... its tucked away on your left just right of the Queen's Hotel). Its an old fashioned 50's type with a Hawaii twist.
