We did another BBQ comp last weekend, I didn't think we were doing anymore until the end of August at least. Anyways, my main man competed in the kids competition and he won Grand Champion. He got a trophy about as big as him and that's not an exaggeration. And won more than twice as much money as we have so far.

He did it all while having his face painted like this.


I don't want people thinking he didn't do anything, because he did it all. He and his dad picked out the steaks together, he seasoned them himself, he cooked and flipped them himself, he put them in the box himself. All we did was start the grill for him.


She was tired so she was posing and hamming it up for the camera.


I thought this was a good picture of her, but everyone lost their minds over it. I will admit that I wish I had the muscle definition she has and the upper body strength she does. She just started gymnastics, I need to go out and get some pictures of her doing that. Her brother is an amazing athlete, keep on this one, Olympics maybe.

No, but they are tomorrow!! I'm packing up and heading down there tomorrow to beat them there. I guess he is Griff's shadow now and then about 9 o'clock they go crazy. Jack jumps all over him until Griff has had enough and starts running around. Jack hightails it under the table until he calms down. It's going to be insane when Ryanne finally gets to see him.

The local minor league baseball team was the Myrtle Beach Hurricanes in 1991-1992. Chris Weinke didn't make it as a baseball player but he went on to play QB at Florida State and he won the Heisman Trophy in 2000. I'm assuming this is a replica jersey since he signed it "2000 Heisman" which was 8 years after he played 1st base for the Hurricanes.


As a lifelong Mets fan I had mixed feelings about bidding on this, but Chipper Jones is going to be in the Hall of Fame and nobody else bid on it.


The first 1000 people into the ballpark got a 2 headed bobblehead doll of 2 of the Pelicans mascots, Rally Shark and Splash, dressed as Clemson University (Rally Shark) and University of South Carolina (Splash) coaches.

The Pelicans have 3 mascots. Two of them are human beings in costumes. The third one is a dog. Twice during the game he comes out between innings with a bucket of baseballs for the home plate umpire. When the Pelicans win a game, he runs around the bases at the end of the game. He was catching some a/c in the Pro Shop before the game tonight.

Griffin is the chocolate lab and Jack is black lab.

We took Jack swimming this evening. Griff goes all the time, but Jack hasn't been in much. He jumped in when I didn't have a camera on him.

very cute We have a golden lab who LOVES the water. He knows where his water toy is kept when we camp and will grab it whenever he can get away with it.

Lots of dragonflies in the park today.


First osprey I've seen in a few weeks, he came away empty taloned when he dive bombed the lake.

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans had another jersey auction at last night's game, Pink In The Park, to raise money for the Mary Kay Ash Foundation for breast cancer.

I won 3rd baseman Jason Vosler's jersey. I left it in the laundry room when I got home from the game, he had 2 hits and walked twice so it was kind of sweaty. The Pelicans have a link on their website where you can get the box score from every game this year. Vosler's only been with the team 3 weeks, I looked up the box scores from the games I've been to since he joined the team. I've seen him play 4 times and he has 2 hits in each game.


I was expecting the jerseys to be solid pink because the Pelicans regular uniforms don't have pinstripes.


They had one jersey that was signed by the whole team. The starting bid at these auctions is $75. The last time I looked, the top bid on this was up to $150.


Starting pitcher Brad Markey on the mound in the first inning, I wanted to bid on his jersey because he's #13. I played softball for 35 years and I was #13 all but 2 of those years. His jersey wasn't up for bid, he bought it himself as part of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans Vs. Cancer Foundation.


Relief pitcher Micheal Heesch on the left and starting pitcher Brad Markey on the right getting their heads shaved on the field after the game to raise money for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans Vs. Cancer Foundation. According to the fundraising page, Heesch raised $1,785 and Markey raised $1,100.

We have twins of a set of triplets, they play the corners a lot. I've know these kids since they were born. This kid was called safe when he was clearly tagged out, I'm still very bitter over this.


My main man was knocking the cover off the ball, but he had to stop halfway to home on an inside the park home run.


Our "pitcher" and 1st baseman are a great tandem.


Did I mention they are a great tandem?


Our shortstop, my second mate for sure, my nephew's best friend. He didn't get it, but he sure slowed down that hit.


Our second baseman, my second second mate. He's a great 2nd baseman and even better kid. Him, Bryson and another Teammate beat the crap out of me one night after I made them mad playing backyard ball. He hit an amazing ball right here, that was a fair ball and went over the fence and was called, "FOUL" I was mad!!!! I saw it land fair.


Giving my man a break from behind the plate, we need more to hustle in the outfield like him.

My main man!!!! My Mini Moose, My version of the Wizard of Hoz, my Little Infante, my Mini Perez!!!! He hit a f***ing dong right here!!! This wasn't far from clearing the fence!!!! Holy Cow!!!!! I was jumping up and down when he hit this one!!!! Over the centerfielder!!!


We did some BBQ test runs over the weekend, a little something to get those tastebuds fired up!






She wants to wear makeup like Mom and Eye Black like the baseball boys!


She just started Gymnastics class, so be prepared. I wish I had her upper body strength!!! I can't wait to get some pictures of her doing her routines for you!!! I've already heard one coach say that she's the most natural she has ever seen!!!
