Would love to see him back at GW, but will settle for Foxboro. I'm sure he'll be in Conn to help open the new Margaritaville, but there's something about going to a casino to see Jimmy that just doesn't feel right to me. Having said that, if it were the only New England date....I'd be there.

they couldn't sell out 2 shows last year... I wonder why they would be contemplating 3?MacPhin wrote:my phc was told that it would gillette this year and for 3 shows.

I agree, the only thing is with the pre-sale I was able to get a better seat than I've ever gotten at face. But even from the front row he seemed so far away. Having said all that, I'll be there!SchoolGirlHeart wrote:they couldn't sell out 2 shows last year... 3 shows seems like a bit much...as Jen said they didn't sell out 2 shows.....3 would be tough...approx 180,000 people..unless he drops the ticket prices to something more reasonable ......especially the 300 sections to something like 25 dollars...then you might!!!...it would hurt the scalpers and the ticket agencies thats for sure!!

Part of the deal with Great Woods last year was that they used the parking lot for a PGA Tournament that was going on nearby, and the rumor was that Great Woods actually earned more money on parking fees than they would have with the concerts.

Why 3 shows at Gillette?
The 2 Jimmy did last year were the 2 biggest shows Jimmy ever headlined thats why . . .
People forget that ticket agencies account for alot of those empty seats up in the bleachers . . . alot . . .
Jimmy sold over 120,000 tickets last year for Gillette . . . if he adds a 3rd show he will break 170,000 . . . perhaps 180,000 . . . can't do that with only 2.

the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

Great Woods on Labor Day is dead to us... Dambed golf.....popcornjack wrote:Part of the deal with Great Woods last year was that they used the parking lot for a PGA Tournament that was going on nearby, and the rumor was that Great Woods actually earned more money on parking fees than they would have with the concerts.
But personally I'd rather see JB at GW on another day than see JB at Gillette on Labor Day weekend.....

JB may have put 120,000 butts in seats, but there weren't 120,000 tickets sold..... There were hundreds, maybe even thousands, of free tickets given away to fill those seats.... I'd be pretty sure wasn't ticket agencies giving them away....drunkpirate66 wrote:Why 3 shows at Gillette?

And how many people went once for the novelty but might not go again.... When was the last time we saw ADVERTISEMENTS for JB concerts in the local media??
I can see two shows but I from a business/promotion perspective I can't see why anyone would want to shoot for three....
