On a promise, no. At least not right now. Probably said too much already.
There are some very smart folks out there so I can't be sure of anything. And I don't want to spoil anybody else's fun. And again, a promise is a promise.

Don't mind Ringling. he's harmless, he just hasn't had his shots in a while. he was trying a little cross-thread humor, but that's to be expected. he's often trying.

Sorry. I assume you think my motives are less than honorable. They're certainly not for attention. Didn't mean to cause a stir. But a bigger issue to me would be to post some unreliable info. I'm trying to validate something and if I'm successful I shall post accordingly. Apologies for posting too quickly.

If you have or obtain information that you think is definitive that's great. But here's something to think about: If you are correct and "out" JB here, you think he's gonna keep coming around? If he wanted people to know who he was, it'd be up to him to say "Hey it's me." (Of course in this cynical day and age, I doubt many people would believe it's him--"We just pants Wade Boggs"[Bonus points if anyone gets that. But enough of this digression]) If he wants to maintain his anonymity here, I certainly think he's got that right. It's your information to do with what you want, but for me part of the fun is wondering just what he reads/hears about from here.

How about a member here with the screen name Jimmy Buffett? Any of those?

actually, I'd really rather not know. I am pretty sure that Bernd isn't Jimmy. But... Like Jack said, "you spill the beans, you scare him off". and posting, "I got info, but I promised to keep it quiet" is kinda like "I got a seeeeee-KRIT!!!".

it really isn't anything other than an intellectual exercise for your powers of deduction. In speaking for myself, I have to say, don't screw it up for everyone.

Agreed. Not my intention. That's why I mentioned a few post ago that I didn't want to interfere with someone else's fun.
