Dang it all! I'm sorry it had to end this way. I've had fun posting under this name all the way back to early 2001, but I suppose I always expected I would be "outed" sooner or later. In some ways I wonder why it took so long (I mean, c'mon ...... clever, artistic, creative posts from a pirate who loves surfing .... I figured that was just too obvious).
I really have enjoyed the ride. It has been fun being one of the crowd. I'll still be here ... lurking, reading, learning and laughing along with you all. Maybe my next registered name will be something less obvious ("I AM HE", or "THEORIGINALCHESNEY", or something).

Dang it all! I'm sorry it had to end this way. I've had fun posting under this name all the way back to early 2001, but I suppose I always expected I would be "outed" sooner or later. I suspected you were JB all along. Since it's out in the open now, my only remaining question is: Who's the funny looking guy with you on Duvall St. in your sig line photo? Being a famous musician, I'd think you'd hang around better looking people. I agree with Ringling. it is great to speculate. and say I was told............... But if any one started naming names and spouting seeeeee-KRITs then we would endanger whatever relationships we do have with Jimmy ( however small that may be) and NONE of us want to do that.actually, I'd really rather not know. I am pretty sure that Bernd isn't Jimmy. But... Like Jack said, "you spill the beans, you scare him off". and posting, "I got info, but I promised to keep it quiet" is kinda like "I got a seeeeee-KRIT!!!".
it really isn't anything other than an intellectual exercise for your powers of deduction. In speaking for myself, I have to say, don't screw it up for everyone.

I never planned, in my imaginations, a situation like this would arise. I say, Jimmy, if you're out there just reading once in a while then that's absolutely fine with me. But it's a whole lot more fun to post and even more fun for us to know if, on occasion, you do.
Why would you be scared off by us harmless Parrotheads???

The way I see it is that either Buffett himself or someone who works for him directly (and I mean Buffett is his direct supervisor) is probably lurking on all the popular parrothead sites to see what the fans are saying. It makes business sense.
