Usually, whenever somebody talks about a "different bread (sic) of football player at Alabama", they mean one who isn't paid for.

Six in a row, my friend. Six in a row.

This time next year, we'll be talking about seven in a row.

Welcome to BN!

A Bama show would be great, whether UA or Birmingham or any where, it's been to long!!! I would be there for sure.

Although I'm now a Texan by the Grace of God, I still have Alabama in my heart.

....oh and by the way .......War Eagle!

Wow, "Little Brother's" obsession with UA can even find it's way to a Jimmy Buffett board. Enjoy your six. Bama signed 5 of the top 35 players in the country, Auburn did not even sign 5 of the top players in the state. Your time is coming...

Back to JB... Birmingham radio host Paul Finebaum said on the air Friday that Bama was working on a "major entertainment act" in connection with the spring game.

The rumor in Tuscaloosa is still Buffett. Of course, a "major entertainment act" in Alabama terms could be Taylor Hicks...

Fingers are still crossed for JB.

BTW Canes, nice recruiting class. Good luck in '08.

LSU has blown Auburn (and Alabama, for that matter) away on signing day for...well, pretty much forever.

However, LSU has won only three of the last six games against Auburn, and two of those games were won by six points or less.

So it ain't where you start. It's where you finish.

Number seven is coming.

Sorry.. But 600 K will not even cover just Jimmy..
try 4-5 times that, by the time you...... get the band, the crew, the security
the permits, the Insurance, pay the U for the rent on the Venue.....
Bonds,Catering, Advertising, More Insurance and the other MISC. stuff
it Ain't cheap..

also unless the Alum/Booster club is willing to shell out the money
and just break even (those guys and girls didn't get to where they have $$
to drop on the school by being carefree with their money)

the cost per ticket would be nowwhere near 6 bucks..

let's see.. three million would cover nicely (yep, most likely you would have money left BUT)
split 92.000 ways.. with NO return around 32 each... (a little more than 6$)

even IF the alum were to take a ten percent gain on investment..
right around $37

AND that is no money back for Charity.. just straight numbers..
