If you are retired... I could see doing it for a 3 years or so? see middle america enjoy different places.
Also... if you gave up your regular land house... some of the lower houses are certainly in the lower 300,000 in florida that gets you a crappy condo. These are new, with better views, and no hurricanes.
Just knowing the housing market for snowbirds here in florida... it ain't a bad idea.
