Which announcement? Jones Beach or MSG?
Jones Beach, because that's the other show I want to go to and I've just drawn down my fun ticket fund with Raleigh!

Still hoping....still hoping....skipping MSG on the 12th so I hope there's a Jones Beach show! Otherwise, perhaps AC will be the way to go.

Has AC replaced Jones Beach??? If that is true, it's too bad. We saw Jimmy at MSG last year and it was great but watching Jimmy out doors with the ocean in the background is just a better way....plus it was a pain to grill the burgers and sit on the cooler in Penn Station! We loved Jones Becah in 2006 and hope it comes back!

The Garden is great for certain acts - Clapton, Stones, bascially any of the classic arena rock bands. Buffett shows are so much more enjoyable at places that have some character and aura. I am passing on MSG and hoping for Jones Beach in August. Seems like he won't be too far away then so maybe it's possible.

Jones Beach Rumor

I received a call tonight from Pa-Billo who was visiting his local bar in Wantagh, NY and many of the locals who frequent this pub work at Jones Beach. They said that Jimmy is supposed to play Jones Beach either July 12th or 13th. I checked the Jones Beach website and those dates are open so far. Also the first July date listed is Cincinnati so it would make sense that he works his way from east to west. I am keping my fingers crossed that Jimmy will play Jones Beach. I hope this rumor becomes a reality, let's keep our fins crossed.

July 12th is a Saturday & it would be a real pain getting there. We'll have to leave early to beat the rush. But I'm off that weekend so it works for me. Hopefully if it's a go, it'll be announced after AC & the Garden are sold out.

I really don't think he would play Jones Beach only a month after MSG. Besides, if you look at the schedule he already has 6 shows/2 weeks in July. The last few years that's been the pattern, 2 weeks on the road followed by a month, sometimes 6 weeks, off. If I were a betting man, I'd say no chance he plays the beach in July.

Probably not. But instead of no chance, I'll go with slim or none. And he is in AC in August. All these East coast shows are bound to upset someboby.

Maybe if I tell him my birthday is in July he'll do it for me????

Still hoping for Jones Beach but considering parking myself in front of the computer to battle for tickets to AC. Never been to Boardwalk Hall (or AC for that matter). How are concerts there?

I'll be in Rome on the 12th and 13th, so if there's a JB @ JB, I'm hoping for June or August!!!

I hope Jimmy isn't setting a pattern here with only doing MSG when he's in NY because of the size of the stadium, that would be a shame. I have seen many shows at MSG and couldn't even imagine seeing him there, it wouldn't be anything like seeing him at the beach.

i'd make that bet....based on trends and where his schedule is taking him!!
