The last few years that's been the pattern, 2 weeks on the road followed by a month, sometimes 6 weeks, off. If I were a betting man, I'd say no chance he plays the beach in July.
i'd make that bet....based on trends and where his schedule is taking him!!
Agreed.

size of the venue doesnt matter.take mohegan sun and atlantic city as two factual examples.both are about as small as a venue as you will see jimmy play outside of the "special gigs" or un-announced shows.

Maybe so but I'm guessing the casino picks up part of the tab...

It does matter. You missed their point. The are speaking about NY specifically. When he has the chaice to play a few different venues then the size matters. There is no other building near Mohegan or AC. Let's say there was another arena in AC that seats 8K more people then Boardwalk Hall. Where do you think he'd play? Jones Beach - 15K seats. MSG - 20K seats. He chose the Garden

It's just a shame because as good a Jimmy is at the Garden (and I just got our seats from Ticketmaster) he is 10 times better at the beach! Too bad if those Jones Beach Shows go bye bye...we will miss them!

8/24 - AC

Last year was the first time in 6 years he did 1 show in NY and did it at the Garden instead of Jones Beach. This year's full schedule hasn't been announced yet so there's still a chance of a Jones Beach show. I'd hardly call what he's doing a pattern. Playing Jones Beach in only even numbered years since 1998 is a pattern.

In 1998 he played the Garden in February and Jones Beach in the summer. Two years ago he played Jones Beach at the end of June and the Garden in mid-September. It's not out of the question to do both venues again.
