Very true, but when JB doesn't perform any longer I'd wager that most of us would wish we could hear each of these done live just one more time....flipflopgirl wrote:well i never thought WDWGDAS would drop off the set list so you just never know!Bfan53 wrote:You'd have better odds of winning the lottery than either M-ville or CIP not being played at a JB concert.......

That is one of the most sensible things I have ever seen written on BNBfan53 wrote:

very true but i will be very happy for Jimmy whenever he decides to retire, very very sad to not see him play anymore, but happy for him. And i will always be very thankful to him for all the great people i have gotten to meet and the great places i have gotten to go because of being a Parrothead!Bfan53 wrote:Very true, but when JB doesn't perform any longer I'd wager that most of us would wish we could hear each of these done live just one more time....flipflopgirl wrote:well i never thought WDWGDAS would drop off the set list so you just never know!Bfan53 wrote:You'd have better odds of winning the lottery than either M-ville or CIP not being played at a JB concert.......

The closest I get to "cultured" is whatever starts growing in the empty beer and rum bottles I forget to rinse out before putting back in the cooler, driving back home and never emptying when I get there.SchoolGirlHeart wrote:Not the case with me. Let's be honest ALL these songs are what drive a Jimmy concert and make it the sing-along community experience so unique and soul warming.
I have no ambition to chuck out any of these songs for some obscure cut from the past.
For those of you that take BRB during these songs enjoy the fact that the lines are far shorter than when I take my BRB during the fifth cut from the latest album. And I meet a lot of good, fun people standing in the p*** line.
Cheers

For the record, I like them all. I rarely listen to Margaritaville when it comes across my iPod because I've heard it so many times, but I still like it in concert because it gets people fired up. That said, I would definitely trade hearing CIP or BEG every show for the chance to hear some of the old songs we don't hear any more. As much as I like 5 O'Clock, I would rather hear something else from time to time than hear it every show. Nothing elitist or more cultured here, just my 02 cents.
Take me for what I am, a star newly emerging.

For once people see the truth that BEG needs to be tossed.
Eh, I won't buy into the When JB retires we'd like to hear these crap. I'd like to hear a bunch of other things before he hangs it up, and a lot of these songs are not on the list of songs to hear.
Especially 5 O'Clock and the yawn heard 'round the world dullness of BEG.
At least CIP is short, they just fly through it, get it out of the way.
Eh, the Stones didn't play Satisfaction for EONS live.
