For me it'd be 5o'clock. I like ALL the classics! They are the songs that I've listened to for 30+ years and I still enjoy them(even if they are on a certain album with a yellow cover) Just mix it up a bit Jimmy!

Very true, but when JB doesn't perform any longer I'd wager that most of us would wish we could hear each of these done live just one more time.... :-?

very true but i will be very happy for Jimmy whenever he decides to retire, very very sad to not see him play anymore, but happy for him. And i will always be very thankful to him for all the great people i have gotten to meet and the great places i have gotten to go because of being a Parrothead! :D

Let's be honest ALL these songs are what drive a Jimmy concert and make it the sing-along community experience so unique and soul warming.
I have no ambition to chuck out any of these songs for some obscure cut from the past.
For those of you that take BRB during these songs enjoy the fact that the lines are far shorter than when I take my BRB during the fifth cut from the latest album. And I meet a lot of good, fun people standing in the p*** line.

Cheers

Not the case with me. I started the thread because people are always commenting that they'd like to see this song or that song dropped. Jimmy did that last year, dropped a standard. I was interested to see which current standard was least poplular.

For the record, I like them all. I rarely listen to Margaritaville when it comes across my iPod because I've heard it so many times, but I still like it in concert because it gets people fired up. That said, I would definitely trade hearing CIP or BEG every show for the chance to hear some of the old songs we don't hear any more. As much as I like 5 O'Clock, I would rather hear something else from time to time than hear it every show. Nothing elitist or more cultured here, just my 02 cents.
The closest I get to "cultured" is whatever starts growing in the empty beer and rum bottles I forget to rinse out before putting back in the cooler, driving back home and never emptying when I get there.

BEG

I've never had a real connection with it, and I tend to associate it more with Van Morrison.

For once people see the truth that BEG needs to be tossed.

Eh, I won't buy into the When JB retires we'd like to hear these crap. I'd like to hear a bunch of other things before he hangs it up, and a lot of these songs are not on the list of songs to hear.

Especially 5 O'Clock and the yawn heard 'round the world dullness of BEG.

At least CIP is short, they just fly through it, get it out of the way.

Eh, the Stones didn't play Satisfaction for EONS live.

Probably because Mick Jagger didn't get any the night before.

There's always one, or handful (raises hand) that have to disagree. I hope he never stops playing BEG, I like it.

While I voted for BEG, I didn't see CIP in the list

(It would be nice if someone started a poll for songs that we would like to see added. "Poll" not "thread")
