I went to fill up my husbands car yesterday. He drives an Audi A4, nothing special. It cost me £56 which at todays exchange rate is $108.86
Not bad for a run around car :(
My Honda CRV cost a little more. No wonder people are leaving our country in droves!!

A family size car or 4wd here has cost 100.00 + for a few years. Right on empty - my little Kia Rio costs 55-60

Our gas is about $1 a litre, and that means about $50-$55 to get the tank from one-quarter to Full, on the PT Cruiser.

Yikes! And I thought $2.84 a gallon was high. I'll quit complaining.

Is that $1.49 Aus or did you convert and its $149 US That equals $5.69/gallon AUD or if we need to convert to US that would equal $5.08 at today's exchange rate.

by Wino you know
Here it's $2.85 per gallon for the ethynol blend (89 octane),
$2.95 per gallon for regular (87 octane)
$3.05 per gallon for premium (91-92 octane)

I use regular in the Mercury and premium in the Jeep.
As far as I'm concerned, they can shove that ethynol crap where the sun never shines.

$3.05 a gallon for the cheap stuff. Cost me just about $35 to fill the tank of my 1990 Accord that, even with 265,000 miles on it, still gets 30+ mpg.

It aussie - but with the exchange rate at the moment being that we get 90c to the dollar - it doesnt really come in to the calculations - what it means is that petrol here is damn expensive

I have a 20-gallon tank that just took 19.25 gallons and cost me $53 US.

And I didn't have to pump it myself. Isn't New Jersey great?!?!
