karat - You are correct that the only party last year ('07) was at the Holiday Inn on University Drive in Moon Twp.
The reason that came about was because TOM WATT was not available to have his annual blast - he was already booked to play elsewhere that night.
I haven't heard this officially, but we should all hope that TOM will play in the parking lot at the tailgate (before the concert), as he usually does.

which may seem simple, but could also become some stupid "legal loophole"
.....I wouldnt buy from them. If people had those tickets, wouldnt you think that they would have them on ebay instead???

The only party I know of other than a few bars that had something going on was the holiday inn in moon.karat wrote:hmmmm, There were many PHs at the Holiday Inn I have listed above last year...and I know about the Country Inn last year as well. Wondering if two events went on last year..
I knew I was not that crazy...there was something at Holiday Inn.

Last yr Julie & I stayed at HI on University Blvd. Night before concert was some sort of pool party. We didn't go that night..we booked for the night of the concert & booked because they offered bus service to the concert which got us there hrs before so people could enjoy tailgate time...I think the bus fee was $20...well worth it to let someone else drive so we could enjoy a few drinks! Just wondering if the HI Tom will be at will offer bus service? That is a nice option.karat wrote:THANK YOU! I know they had something BEFORE the concert (that day) at the old Country Inn. It's my understanding that "YES", there will be bus service (round-trip) from the Holiday Inn Express to the P-G Pavillion. Expect to see announcements about this from TOM WATT and the STEEL CITY FINS as the day approaches.

We will come over and visit. Is it going to be about a half hour from Weirton to Moon??karat wrote:The WVA hotel is our of the way for us that live in the 'burgh....It is a great opition for all of you coming in though... I will work on a web link the next few days...

What kind of bus service is the hotel offering??? Because I didnt like the idea of taking a bus since e bring quite a bit of stuff with us, and I didnt think that bringing things was much of an option if you take a hotel bus.
Do they just take you and drop you off???

The person taking the reservation was very nice and reminded me to call back when our group has their lower rate in the computer and they will make sure we get it.

I can only tell you what I learned from using the bus service from Holiday Inn last yr...things I didn't know before. People did take fold chairs..which were put in luggage area (undernearth) Small coolers were taken inside by seats...large coolers under where chairs were. Bus stayed in parking lot & the driver stayed in bus all that time! So riders could come & sit if needed or to return items before going into concert & to use the bathroom on the bus instead of the potties outside! Was a nice experience. When reserving your room...be sure to ask about the bus..it fills up fast & maybe they will add another bus...maybe.alaura1974 wrote:We will come over and visit. Bus is a great option if you don't have a DD. I recall the last couple years getting to the lot around 2:00ish. Access to the washroom was probably the best feature, along with not driving, of course!warmsugar wrote:I can only tell you what I learned from using the bus service from Holiday Inn last yr...things I didn't know before. Holiday Inn University Blvd is the one closest to the OLD Airport/Robert Morris University - that had the party last year and BN gathering the night prior to the concertpghparrothead wrote:Which Holiday Inn is it? By Giant Eagle on RT 60 is the old Country Inn that is now a Holiday Inn Express, I think you take the road by Kohl's to get to it, there is a way from the parkway as well. This is the one with the PIT PH club
I hope this helps
