They are not supposed to open till 2, but last year we were parked by noon. The cars were lined up all the way down the road, and were to the point of blocking the exit coming off of the thruway, so they had to let everyone in. We ended up in the stones, but it was at least close. I dont know that they will just let you go into the grass...... they were kind of directing people where to go......
this is what it looked like!!

where are you coming from? and where are you staying at??

I live in Peters Township, so a hotel stay won't be necessary for me. I am planning to work a half a day at the office downtown, then head over to the lot for some partying!

Yeah we were there at noon too.... I took back roads all the way from Canonsburg, and ended up coming into the venue from the other way... never had to sit on the parkway!

No offense guys..... if any chatter about Buffett Concerts grate on my nerves it is about the damn parking lot at StarLake!

Last year since I did not drive I HAD to wait until 2PM to head to the venue. Sat for 45 mins to get in and steaming in the back of the car not saying (I told you so).

I have NEVER sat in traffic (other than last year) to get in the lots, longer than 20 minutes. They ALWAYS say the gates will not open until 4pm...They will open anywhere from Noon to 2PM....

(note to all, no coffee yet)
So my two cents is to say... GO EARLY, do NOT listen to what they are saying on the radio, website or tv. The police do not like the people to sit, they will force opening AS always.

A friend's parents work parking and they are even told to lie about the time. Reminder me in 4 months and I will find out what their schedule is to work...

I'm sorry all, please forgive me, we are just too far out to worry about the lots - worry more about buying 'stuff' for the concert...

I will fire up the Where to Buy your PH needs. I got a small grill last year at KMart for $25, fits 4 burgers and 5 dogs! little propane grill. I love it!

Laura I know of MANY that have the battery operated blender - but could not tell you anything about it...
