Lots to say, but here are highlights.
Pre Party Day
Awesome shuttle driver agrees to take us to pre-party from one HI to another.
Torrential down pours causing patio umbrellas to break and fall over.
Great time poolside dancing and drinking beer.
17 people in a hotel shuttle bus (which seats 11)back from HI Express eating fruit loops around midnight.
Concert day
28 cars in a caravan from HI Airport head out in full Buffett gear.
Parked on a back road for about an hour approx 2 miles from the gate.
Got in at 2 and the party began.
Mingled and drank in what turned out to be amazing weather.
Saw a phantastic concert!!!!!
Back to the cars where we waited out the traffic and headed back into Pittsburgh around 12:30.
It was a great couple of days.
Thanks to all that played a part in it.
Pictures to follow.
The WNYPHC welcomed "the Canadians" with open arms and for that we truly thank them. Made new friends that we hope will cross paths with again.

I can't remember for sure which bus we were on but I'm pretty sure my girlfriend and I were on that bus, too. We're friends with Gumbopirate. I think I remember the lady that you were talking about. If it's who I think it is, she kept asking me if I wanted to pillage her lol. But yeah, we should definitely add that spot on the wheel next yearMrsOver40ClevePirate wrote:Mr. Over40 and I were both there with the Y'town club on bus #2 with Cap'n Drew. Had a great time with a real fine group of pholks. Looking forward to next year and hanging out (but not literally like some folks we saw....). The wheel needs a spot that says.."Put 'em away"... do you remember the pirate guy with the topless woman in tow??
Then you would understand the new spot on the wheel next year..
Thanks again for a great time, everyone !! Phins up!

I agree with everyone that some people should just keep their clothes on, even though I had a pretty humorous experience with one lady.MrsOver40ClevePirate wrote:Got home 5 hours ago - woke up an hour ago. An awesome show!! Many thanks to the Y'town Parrothead Club for the hospitality! We second the note about things in the parking lot we wish we hadn't seen..Some folks should learn how to keep their clothes on..but it was a great time..always is with Buffett folk!! On to the next show, wherever that may be..

Had a fabulous time!!! Took the bus from the HIE (thanks to those who planned that--it was perfect!). Great people on the bus--we were the jello shot ladies on the Yellow bus. Our bus pulled in right next to the bus that had Tom Watt playing, so we had front row seats for his concert as well. Didn't see the nakies, thank God! All we saw was great Buffett fans having a wonderful time!!.
Thanks to all who helped make this a fun, safe party for us. I know it took a lot of work to coordinate things.

Pittsburgh show
Tried to send this yesterday but my service went down.
Had a great time at Starlake despite the security not letting us in until
2. We were first in line in the turning lane at the front of the big traffic
jam on 18. We sat there for about a hour until the cops made everone
leave under threat of citation. I asked, "Where the hell are we supposed
to go?". The cop said, "Just go. Get out of here." We did a U-turn and
parked down the road started drink rum-runners with some nice people
in a black pickup truck. When we got the word that the lot was open
we managed to avoid the lower lot by lying that we were VIP and scooted
over to the upper lot. In no time we had the Tiki Bar set up and it was a
huge success as usual. We served over 160 Cranberry Margaritas to
a very appreciative crowd. Many thanks to the gal that gave my brother
Frank and I some Cuban cigars. And many thanks to the many lovely
ladies who dropped by to "strut their stuff" at the bar. It was great to
meet fellow BN'ers again and put faces with names. The show was great
and as usual we managed to improve our situation by moving up a few
rows to some empty seats. My next stop is Bristow, VA. I'll be taking
my stepdaughter to her first JB concert. Hope to see you all there.

Back at wor%......... concert was awesome again as usual. I was a little mad about the parking lot issue.......... but what do you do!!
We were one of the first ones in, but we were in the side lot all the way up by the road. So we were really far away from everyone
We still had a great time but I wish I would have been able to meet up with more people!! I guess there is always next year!
Got to finally meet Holly though!!! Will post some pics later on!!

Now that it's all over but the shouting... (That's me doing the shouting, BTW - "Why?? Why?? WHY is it over???"
)
I just wanted to take a minute and say a big "Thank You" to karat! Holly, you did a great job starting & maintaining this thread and providing all of us with some great info that helped make the concert a success for so many of us. You rock!
While I'm at it, I'm sorry I didn't get to meet some of you - hope to bump into you down the road. Our group got totally hosed into parking in no man's land, making it difficult (especially with the heat) to find pholks...Our lot was so far out, I think they still hadn't cleared it of landmines from WWII. Oh well, seeya all soon.
Phins & Grins, everyone!
