I just wanted to take a minute and say a big "Thank You" to karat! Holly, you did a great job starting & maintaining this thread and providing all of us with some great info that helped make the concert a success for so many of us. You rock!
While I'm at it, I'm sorry I didn't get to meet some of you - hope to bump into you down the road. Our group got totally hosed into parking in no man's land, making it difficult (especially with the heat) to find pholks...Our lot was so far out, I think they still hadn't cleared it of landmines from WWII. Oh well, seeya all soon.
Phins & Grins, everyone!
-M.
Thanks Marty!!! Sorry I only spent 5 minutes with you guys... where you all parked by the road? Laura was up there, and I walked there - 20 freakin' minutes, I thought I was going to die! Good thing I took big margarita and back up with me
Yeah, we were up there - like 2 or 3 rows to the road. Prolly tripped over you & Laura at some point...

I was in the first row against the road!!! I wish I would have known you were so close by, I would have come over to visit!!!
Maybe we will bump into each other in the home area....... I did meet Mary from Buffalo in the hotel parking lot, along with her group but never saw them during the tailgate at all.
Were you by the guys with the DRINKO game??

Unfortunately because of my reduced work hours because the place I work will be closing in a few months, the need to find a new job is going to take precedence over the Buffett show, so a friend of mine is buying my lawn tix. I'll at least still be able to enjoy it on RM.
We shall consume a drink for you that night.
Thanks for having that drink for me. Not going to the show ended up being worth it. Got a call for a letter carrier job, I start training on Mon. Aug. 4th. I will make 6.72 an hour more than I was making at my previous postal service job. Missing the show sucked, but I needed to pass the medical assessment I had to go to the morning after the show. Maybe next year I'll be able to go, if Jimmy is touring next year.

The old saying holds true... everything happens for a reason. Now we all have to have a drink to celebrate the new job with better pay. Hey, any reason to drink will do. Congrats. Having the feel of financial security makes one relax a bit better. Here's to next yrs concert.
