Police to tour with Elvis Costello this summer

Looks like its gonna be an expensive summer...we've already got Rush, Tom Petty w/Steve Winwood, James Taylor, the Eagles, and now a Police/Elvis Costello tour.
The Police are also saying this will be their final "go-around." I know we hear that from bands all the time, but these guys still admit to not getting along all that well so I wouldn't be surprised if this will do it. Aside from that, Andy Summers is 65 years old....much older than Sting and Copeland.

Yes, one of the dates is Red Rocks. That would be a good show. I saw them when they were at Wrigley, not that impressed, and will not be going again. That Rocks show will sell out instantly.
I will be in Denver in August, so I am hoping to catch a show while I am there.

I somewhat agree with MDown. I saw them at Fenway and the first half to 3/4's of the show it seemed like they were going through the motions. They kicked it up in the second half/last quarter but it was not enough to save the entire show for me. If the whole thing had been like the last part the show really would have rocked. I am some what interested in see Elvis Costell but as of right now I plan on taking a pass unless tickets happen to fall my way and they are great seats.

I heard mixed reviews on the Fenway shows. I saw them twice in the past year...once in Hartford and again this past November at the Boston Garden. I was really impressed with both shows.
I'm just going to grab lawn seats. Can't beat seeing the Police and Elvis Costello for 40 bucks.

I've read so many negative reviews of shows from critics and fans. Andy Summers - what, JB will be 62 at the end of this year, The Rolling Stones are all in their early, mid and late 60s.
What's the big deal?
