I'm in again this year. Have been going to Alpine for several years and would hate to miss it. Now just need tickets.

Can you take an RV to alpine and like park it there overnight? (and I am not talking about having to drive it out of the parking lot after the concert... well maybe but SEVERAL hours later)

Settle down . . . you're either rooting for a CHicgao thread or the Alpine thread but you can't have both . . .
The Parrot Dice Lounge kinda like a mirage. Here today and gone tomorrow. You should stop by and say hello when visiting Chicago on tour.

Hey, I'm trying to boost the numbers....

Now how about a Milwaukee bus :-?

Hmmm, a pirate flag cape...yeah, that might work. And I concur a stripper pole would greatly enhance any tiki bar.

Cheers

Alpine does not allow camping. They will ask you to leave the parking lot as soon as the lines die down and the rest of the folks have left.

After looking at the map, I gotta say: that's one odd looking lawn section. :o

The Lower East Lawn section rocks...close to the p***, close to the beer and never that crowded.

I would think that would be the one that would be packed. Some of the other sections are awfully far from the stage.

"crowded" is very relative. All the lawn sections are wall to wall people but the East section is a bit easier to navigate getting in and out of for bathroom breaks and beer runs.

For anyone that is near the Peoria,IL area and doesn't want to worry about messing with Ticketmaster on Monday. (I already have a guaranteed 50 tickets) I have an alternative. Please read below:

3rd Annual Alpine Valley bus trip. I will have 50 spots available that will include:

- Transportation to and from the concert on a 56 passenger charter coach (with restroom)

- Live Buffett DVD’s will be played on the bus during the ride up.

- Snacks on the bus.

- Tailgate before the show. We go “all out” for our tailgates. (I can’t really explain it all but I can send you pictures if you want)

- We will have 2 Margaritaville Frozen Concoction makers at the tailgate. If you bring your own mix you can have frozen drinks. (although I will bring a case or two of margarita mix)

- So many jello shots that last year we lost count.

- The “Wheel of Phortune” will be present again this year. (it was quite a hit last year, especially with the ladies)

- Food at the tailgate. The plan as of now is sub sandwiches and BBQ pork sandwiches. And of course all the sides.
- 1 ticket to our private VIP beer deck for the concert. This includes a private bathroom and private beer bar ON OUR DECK! (No more waiting in line)

- A safe trip home, while we play movies that most people sleep during.

You will need to bring the following:

- Alcohol of your choice.

- Bottled water or soda (I would suggest bringing some bottled water, it is a long day and you will need to hydrate)

- Bag chairs (if you want to sit)

- Any additional snacks you may want for the bus or the tailgate.

- One small “personal” size cooler for the bus trip.

- One medium size cooler for under the bus. We are going to limit cooler size this year. We came very close to not having enough room under the bus last year. Once I have an official list of who is going, this information will be sent to everyone attending.

- Parka or rain suit. This is an outdoor show and it has rained in years past. I have found that if you bring a parka usually doesn’t rain.

So far I am almost half full. If you are interested let me know. The price this year is $240.00 each. The price is higher than last year, but as I am sure you are aware the price of fuel has gone way up and therefore so has the cost to charter a bus. The concert tickets have also increased again this year and we are going to include food this year.

Pass the word and if anyone is interested PM me.

How do you run the frozen drink machines? A generator, or through the bus? Just curious..thinking it might be a good idea for our bus!
