I want to keep this on the first page...

I'm curious as to how far you have to drive to get to Alpine from Chicago... I just got back from St. Louis so I figure if I can get there in one afternoon I should have no real problems with Alpine.

Also any plans for tailgating? I'm not familiar with that setup at all so I wouldn't know what to contribute

from Chicago to Alpine is typically 2-4 hours depending on where you live and what road you take to get there. If you come up I90W and then take I43E that's your easiest bet. From STL is about 6-7 hours.

PM CaptP for tailgate details and if you want to contribute.

A change of plans for us... we booked with Volcano Express (which includes a tailagate).

Jim, thanks so much for the invite - we'll try to pop over and say hello.

PS: How 'bout these Midwest thunderstorms & flooding - it's just aweful. Stay safe, all!

Twas a month and a few days before Alpine and all through the thread, not a parrothead was stirring, why has everyone fled?

Perhaps everyone is working, saving up for the big day, we all know too well, the prices we must pay.

Near or far, there is so many plans to make...airfare, hotels and tickets, leis and skirts, abundance of drinks and salt to shake.

For us, we are migrating south for a while. Getting hitched on the gulf so we can come to Alpine in style.

See all you fins and feathers really soon for a great time, It's time for me to go back to work, I am all out of rhyme 8)

Anyone taking a bus up there, with room for more???

We have about 12-15 people and are looking for a bus trip from the Chicago area up to Alpine for the July 19th show. (western suburbs)

Doesn't look like we are going to have enough people to justify getting a bus for ourselves, so we're looking for anyone with extra room, or perhaps if anyone knows of a bar in the area that is running any trips.

Please contact me if you have any info!!

Thanks,

bk

It's a short, silly story, but I'm looking for a trustworthy person to make an exchange of money for tickets in Superior (too far for me to drive and I'm not sending them money first...)
Got anyone in mind you could hook me up with?
Thanks,

I have been searching for some time, but can not find anything about it.

Thanks much!
