f I remeber correctly from the show at CBP last time, didn't they hav ea designated parking area that you had to pay EXTRA to get into for what they considered to be the "tailgating" lot? And then people who got there later, but paid to be there, weren't allowed in?
Besides that, I don't personally know any of you, but would love to get together with you guys for tailgating.

We would love to meet up/chip in/make something for any get together. missed meeting up with you guys last year at Camden show. Set up our tailgate and I got sick from the crazy heat. I'll keep watching this post for updates. Met alot of you last year at Stouts for the MSG show. We had the CHERRYBOMBS!!! I'm praying for a Bama Breezy 80 degree sunny day in Philly with NO HUMIDITY. Not too much to ask now is it?

They did, I bought tickets for the lot off of stub hub a few days before the show. I am not sure if you really needed them though because I got down there around 12 and people were all over the place.

In June we should be good, it was that august day a few years ago that killed us!

I'll be there for tailgating definatly bes tthing about this years show is it is on a Sat soooo WIll drag hub to be a DD this year. Let me know what to bring MK.
Like you I am not sure I want to pay out bucks for the ballpark bad acoustics and Matt almost got kicked out by security where he was sitting or standing for standing up at a Buffett concert .....pfft

Trying to recall all the day's events back in 2005 at CBP for the Saturday show. I remember getting to the lot around noon, sunny and hot. First storm came up mid afternoon. Second storm came in about an hour later and was heavier and longer. Stayed relatively dry under pop-up canopy. Once the storm cleared, I recall it became quite pleasant and tailgating resumed as usual. Tailgating on the whole didn't compare to the Tweeter Center, IMHO.
Acoustics were really bad for the first set. Seemed to improve after intermission, or perhaps I just thought it sounded better. Thought the set list was excellent though.
Would much rather have show at Tweeter Center, but at least there's a show.

Hey everyone!!!
I ophicially requested the weekend of June 14 & 15th off of work today. My first request off from the new job. Of course I got the "normal" questions of "Why, if the concert is at 8 pm, do you need the whole day off and the next day?" Just like us all, I tried to explain but there was not enough time and I had to sum up. Some people just don't get it.
I do.
I invited a few of my new co-workers to the party to see how many virgins I can get to join us. I think I only have 1 under my belt so far...
As for who is bringing what and where we all should meet (not meat) I'll work on that list in April/May after I find out who all in joining us.
I still have the cell phone list from last year and I expect a bigger crowd this year.
I have to say, even though I don't like the venue Jimmy chose this year, I can understand all the pros and cons he used to make his choice(we all know he's just a businessman and we are his consumer). I also have to give a big shout out to Jimmy's "people" for making the announcement so early. I, for one, really need a hot day in June to look forward to.

I wonder about drinking in the CPB lots, for Phillies and Eagles, you are not allowed to drink in those lots. I wonder if they will change this for the concert.
Last time, we did the premier parking and were in the lot at 8:00am, partied all day, we were the third group to arrive.
I think there was 4 prepaid parking lots.

They always say there's no drinking in the lots. But it doesn't seem to slow anybody down.
We were in lot M both shows, street side near the fence. Both days we had to be the first 1 in the lots. On Saturday there was a van painted in Eagles colors that was left over from Thursday. The female attendant asked if we were crazy for getting there that early. We said Yes we were and that we were late.

The holiday inn has a nice bar/resturant Bennie the Bums Crab House. However if I remember correctly it is dance music friday and sat. nights. Unless Mac and some of the other refeers take it over for an impromtu show!

i was there in 2005 after the show and we had a good time.
it would be great if Mac played a show somewhere in Philly Friday night!
