I have 2 tickets (seats not together but in same section a few rows apart) for 8/29 Jones Beach Show and have been trying and trying to sell them at FACE VALUE (posted on several ticket exchange lists). No one is interesetd. Any suggestions on another list where I can post them? I don't want to sell them to a ticket brokers but if I can't find anyone to buy them at face value I may have to sell them to a ticket broker willing to pay me $100 a piece for $60 tickets. So much for trying to do the right thing. Anybody have any suggestions?

By the way I am only getting rid of them because a friend got 4 together in the same section (he called TM 2 weeks after it was sold out and they had 4 tickets together)so now I have the 2 I had bought after waiting in line at TM for hours.

Julie: I wish I could go to Jones Beach, I'd take 'em in a heartbeat! You shouldn't have a problem selling them in the parking lot before the show. We had an extra at StarLake, sold it for face value, no problem. Good luck & phins up!

Problem is in NY you can't sell tickets at any price within 1000 ft of a venue. Recently they have really been enforcing that law. I actually saw someone getting arrested at Jones Beach not long ago for selling tickets in the parking log after a concert started for less than face value!!! Too bad they don't enforce the NY laws of selling tickets above $5 more than face value at anytime.

Julie,

Try posting them on eBay. Someone will be happy to pay ONLY face value for them. (Your description can even say that the people can end up together on the lawn.) Face value pavilion is still cheaper than scalper lawn seats!

Fins up.
