Really? I've seen Steve Miller twice....albeit both times over 10 years ago, but both times he really s*cked......was very disappointed, 'cause I love his music....hope he'd better when you go this year.
Have never seen Joe Cocker in concert, but also love his music....sadly the concert doesn't come to my area, otherwide I might give SM another chance.

I saw Steve Miller a few years ago and it was awesome......

I saw Steve Miller this past summer and it was AWFUL!!!!! I am not a die-hard Steve Miller fan, but I like all of his greatest hits material and a few others. He opened with a 15 minute jam version of Fly Like An Eagle (really got old especially for an opener) and then proceeded to play close to 2 hours of straight obscure songs, probably 60% his own and 40% covers. Finally in the last half hour or so, he started churning through his hits but by the time he got there, fans were leaving, people were yelling to start playing good stuff and it got to be quite annoying. Plus, he was messing up lyrics in a couple hits. It was definitely a show where he wasn't trying very hard and was playing songs for himself not for the fans.

After my first show, I couldn't wait to see him again. After this past show, I doubt I'd go to see him again.

Man, Jimmy on his worst day was probably better than the last time I saw SM. At least Jimmy plays covers people might want to hear. The ones I heard were obscure.
