There definitely seemed to be an increased police presence, especially early, when the area to patrol was smaller. But tailgating went on absolutely as normal. They seemed to be watching pretty closely, but the crowd in our area was mostly <strike>older folks</strike>, er, more experienced fans

who are smart enough to use a cup and not flaunt the booze too much. I would suspect they were watching closely for underage drinking and drunken/disorderly but beyond that it was Great Woods as usual!
well considering we are getting there at 8am no one will be drinking that early

Huh? The far travelers might not be able to afford another long road trip and/or plane ticket. This way they get the show....
Good point. I guess the only answer is to roll with what life gives you.
In this case, get there early, party . . . go to the show . . . go back to the hotel and party more.
It really seems to be the ONLY option.
Come to think of it, this may be the best of both worlds.

Hey, y'know, one thing you might want to think about, people heading to hotels.... Bring a flashlight or two!

Jack called me a little while ago. My half of the conversation must have been interesting, my boss was in my office using my former officemate's computer because he's having problems with his.

As I recall there are a few hotels that are within walking distance -
Comfort Inn -
Courtyard, and maybe even the
Red Roof, and
Residence Inn.
In theory, this could be like college all over again . . . back and forth from one building to the next.

I *did* take a vacation day today.... The storm screwed that up, too, and I'll be lucky to get out of here in the next hour.....

I just called TM and asked for a refund for my section 14 seats and they gave it to me, all I told them was I was working until 3 and can't make the show. The guy was very nice. They only kept the $5.50 processing fee.
Then I went back to TM's website and upgraded to Section 7th 5th row for the exact same price.
They didn't have to refund any money to anyone and they are doing it, kudos to them for doing the right thing. I blasted them and Buffett yesterday and I take it all back, despite the change in show time they have done everything they could to accommodate people, opening the lot at 8am, refunding money..... now if they get me a date with Savannah I will consider us even
Great Woods, TM and JB clap-clap-clap
