Too bad the Sox aren't in town that weekend otherwise I would have asked if anyone would want to see a game. They do play on the 3rd but it's a 1:35 game.

We are considering renting a Winnebago for the weekend, how's parking at GW for them?
Plenty of room for a camper of any size. The only drawback, they park the RV's, buses & campers in the back lot. If you caravan in w/a bunch of cars, they will put you in different areas, away from each other. The solution, pack everybody into the RV.
Have emailed the crew that wants to go...think we may all drive down together in the Winnebago and get a room at the Comfort Inn or Holiday Inn express where we stayed last year for Gillette, so we'll have access to a real bathroom and showers. Of course that is if when we go to book the room they have no issues with us parking the RV outside. Hoping to know who's going by tomorrow and book the rooms.

Actually, there is a Holiday Inn closer to the pavilion in Mansfield. I'm staying there if I go.

Thats where I will be and it is a good choice. They usually get in the Buffett mood and have staff wearing hawaiin shirts and they play JB music in the lobby :D

Ahh...nice to see the planning is well under way. As it is with many things in life, the anticipation and build-up is half the fun!

I know I'll find a way to be there no matter what, but I do feel a bit more anxious about getting tickets this year. Like BottleofRum mentioned in another thread, I have a feeling that more people will be trying to get tickets than usual with all the "new" fans who saw Buffett at Gillette for the first time last year who are going to try to go again this year.

not worried about tickets.

some obvious advice:

If you want to go to both shows get your Saturday tickets first. Those will be 5 times harder to get than the thursday show. Both will be sold out before noon . . . and then there will be plenty of others release in the months coming.

I just booked the Comfort Inn for Saturday night. With AAA only $96.00...

Booked it with two beds. Just in case someone else needs a place to crash.

I have stayed at that Holiday Inn a few times, it is nice and closer and has a tropical feel to it. The roadies used to stay there and may still do.

But they are charging $152 a night, for $50 cheaper I'll stay at the Comfort Inn, all I need is a bed and a shower..

you were way too generous with that absinthe one year. I mean, you are ALWAYS generous but one year my head hurt about 4 ounces too much of that poison . . . good god! 8)

Wish I knew for a fact that I was coming? I might book a room just in case I make it, and cancel later if need be.
