Trouble in Van Halen?

Post by MonumentBeach »

Well it may finally be happening. Some rumors this weekend about trouble with the Van Halen reunion. No official word yet, but some shows have been postponed.

Gotta give em credit though...they have lasted longer than I thought they would. I gave them a week originally...

I saw them last October in Chicago... and THEY ROCKED!!!!!
Bought tickets to see them in April and now even IF the tour makes it, I don't want to really go. I saw them and the killed, and this show could ruin it for me!!! It was bound to happen, and it sounds like Eddie could have relapsed, but life on the road is a tough thing...

I hate to see this. They were incredible in Philly.

This is from www.melodicrock.com , which has a history of getting it right.

I can confirm, 100% that this is absolutely correct and there will be no further live shows at this time. We can get to the reasons behind this decision in a later update - but right now I can confirm that the tour is off, but I'm told that there is still some hope that dates might be rescheduled at a later date (to be determined at some other point in time...).
I can add that any possible issues with vocalist David Lee Roth are not behind the tour cancellation.

I can only say hope your not traveling far. The Charlottesville concert that was postponed was announced at 9am morning of the show. May want to keep tuned to the radio for updates.

The above article now has an update that says "a representative for opening act Ryan Shaw confirms the tour has been canceled."

As far as I know, the show in Dallas is still on for tonight.
(Local Media has not reported it being cancelled...yet)

Oops...spoke too soon. As of 12:46 pm it has been officially "postponed" :-?

LOS ANGELES, CA -- March 3, 2008
The Van Halen concerts in Dallas, Cincinnati, Raleigh, and Baltimore have been postponed. According to Eddie Van Halen's physician, he is undergoing a battery of comprehensive medical tests to determine a defined diagnosis and recommended medical procedures.

The March 3rd Dallas concert at American Airlines Center has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 24, 2008; Cincinnati's March 5th concert at U.S. Bank Arena has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 22nd; Raleigh's March 7th concert at RBC Center has been rescheduled for Sunday, April 13th; and Baltimore's March 9th concert at 1st Mariner Arena has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 15th.
