Just got off of the Live Nation site, got 3 tickets in sec 202 row WW for Alpine, got through right away. Got 4 lawn at Indy from Ticketbastards and it took me 42 minutes to get them.

Me too for Alpine. Just got 2 and there is definintely more available.

Make sure to search for 'Jimmy Buffet and the Coral Reffer Band' as a 'Jimmy Buffet' search came up with nothing for me.

Two and one-half hours after the fact, a friend I work with told me to go to Live Nation. I had tried through Ticketmaster all morning for tickets at Alpine with no luck. I got tickets immediately and there was still the ability to get as many as six seats together. This has been a strange year for buying tickets with the pre-sale at Toyota Park and now this rather weird turn of events.

Congrats

Congrats to those who got tickets for the shows you wanted to see!

I'm sitting here on Jealousy Island right now! I can't afford to make it out of state to see a show, and it's seeming more and more likely that JB is going to skip Colorado for the 4th year in a row.

Might have to consider Vegas, we'll see.

Even though you're strangers to me, I am very happy for you all!

alpine 2 hours later

Post by stsomewhere »

We were also able to get tickets 2 hours later from live nation! We feel very fortunate. Last year had no problems getting 2 tickets at Tinley Park. This year we need 3, decided to take the KEET. Don't know how smart it is to introduce a 15 year old to the world of Buffett in a live setting.

This is our first year to Alpine we noticed the seats are numbered 78, 80, and 82. Will we have a seat between us or is just how the seats are numbered. Any help would be great.

They are next to each other. Theaters of all sorts number consecutively for the middle section (1,2,3,4...) but for the sections on the side, they split them, so one side is even (102, 104, 106,....) and the other is odd (101, 103, 105,...)

Of course, most people will tell you wherever I'm sitting is the odd section....

How many people bitching in this thread will now feed the machine that causes the problem and buy tickets from Scalpers.

I say 80% of the lurkers and newbies and 20% of the BN vets.

and...................next year you will be bitching again

It's called supply and demand.

Lots of people want to go. Limited # of tickets. People will pay what people will pay. Some scalpers will make money. Some scalpers will get stuck with tickets or will sell them in the lot at face or less than face. It's the same thing year after year.

This year was easy. The presales gave anyone who is a big fan a chance to see Jimmy in very easy to get to Chicago.

I just pulled up 8 seats for Indy through LiveNation. If you still need seats, what are you waiting for? Get over there!

We lucked out and wound up with about 25 lawn seats total in our group for Indy! Not sure how many we'll be using! It's a spitball in the war against the ticket brokers, but any extras we have (Haven't figured that out yet), will be sold for face value on the ticket exchange board...

I can't believe it, but I'm still pulling up pavillion for both Alpine Valley and Indianapolis on LiveNation...

If you need 'em, go get 'em... :P

Sadly I just tried Alpine but it was sold out already....:(

On the plus side I was able to easily secure seats in Chicago(Bridgeview) so I'll be going to both shows!

(I'm almost positive that if I wait until about May I'll see some Alpine tickets available...)
