The closer the better. I've had good, but never really great seats.
I would like to sit up close just one time. :sigh:
But I'll never complain as long as I'm "in".

WHA?????? You need to be in the lawn with me!!gingerbreadman wrote:No keets here, and the only time we sit down is during intermission as well...Carolinadreamin' wrote:I'm a seat snob......which is crazy because I only actually sit during the intermission......but if I want to watch Jimmy on the big screen, I'll stay home and put on my Live at Wrigley Field DVD.....but I have no problems buying lawn tickets for my keets...
Never had lawn seats for Jimmy, and if that's all I had, I'd rather stay home and watch him on DVD too!
To me, for a show, the lawn just seems like a whole lotta passive observervation VS the seats... they have active participants!
even when I had a seat to sit in, I didn't sit. stood the whole time!phjrsaunt wrote:I just can't "do" the lawn anymore....by back can't take it. I'll just cough up the extra $$ and sit in a seat.

Yep.. yep..Tequila Tom wrote:Some people like to party on the lawn, but I do my partyin' in the lot during the hours before the show. Once the show starts, it's all about the music so I like to be as close as possible. Otherwise, the lawn is too much like watching a video on the big screen - and there's always the possibility of rain: sprinkles I can handle, but I'm too old to do a "Woodstock experience".

I was looking at ticket stubs last night and Jimmy's first concert at this same venue was $26 (1991). It's just getting to be more than I want to pay for a few hours entertainment. I'd rather take the money (plus some more), go to Florida for a long weekend and maybe catch Jim Morris or Sunny Jim. Maybe drive to Champaign or Peoria and catch the Boat Drunks.
We caught the Boat Drunks last year at a winery. Sitting in the sun, on an Adrirondack chair, with a bottle of wine (that probably cost less than one margarita at a Buffett show) and some snacks was as much fun as seeing Jimmy, for a lot less.
Maybe I'm just getting old.
