Who's Going To St. Louis 4/24/08??

I will be there. Only been to the venue once for DMB. I'm hearing they are really strict on tailgating?????

I would like to go. Going to be in town for Flipperstock on April 4 and 5. Already have tickets for Frisco on the 26th. Really good tickets too.
The last time Jimmy was there, 97, 99, or something like that. The tailgating was kept pretty strict. Couldn't enter the lot until a certain time, etc.

I would like to say that we might come down. But that would make four Buffett shows in one year and with the new little one, I don't know if that is possible. Any info you guys(and gals) can give about the venue would be most appreciated.

It's about time!Landshark,Anheuser Busch,Jimmy,St,Louis.Yippeeee!Im in as well as several others who wouldn't travel far from here but will go to Riverport.I was hoping the beer launch might have something to do with coming back to St.Louie.

So where is everyone staying around there, I am coming from WI, I have a room at the Holiday Inn right now, but a $59 room at Harrahs is awfully tempting. When I ve gone to other venues, seems Holiday Inn is the place to be especially if there is no tailgaiting. Any thoughts

Harrahs has a $59.00 rate?It is very close to the venue and the price is right.I think the Doubletree had a pre party last time but I live close enough that I don't recall anything planned.We were able to drink in the parking lot but no visible bottles or all out "tailgating" and it did not open very early.

I already have a room at Harrahs.. its 100 a nite. Not sure where the Holiday Inn is in respect to the venue. Might be off 70 towards st. charles?? I guess they may not open gates until closer to concert time. That will be one bad traffic problem. Not sure if its changed but its one way in and one way out, traffic can get dicey as with any venue. They also have a history of cutting off alcohol sales very early at the venue also. Cant wait.. Buffett on Thurs.. Cardinals on Saturday!!!

A crew of 4 of us, were already flying in for the Cards series that weekend, now we get a Buffett concert!!!! If anyone can confirm..which hotel is better Holiday Inn Express or Harrah's...Harrah's does have a $59/rate..its on their website under "hot deals"..Thanks for any info!!

I would say Harrah because you are almost in the parking lot of the venue..u cant walk.. well I guess you could but if I remeber its a hike around the levy to get there. I think they have shuttles to.. if not take a cab close to gate.. maybe a few dollars to save yourself the walk..WOW THANKS FOR THE 59 RATE.. MISSED IT BEFORE..

BUT.... if Harrahs has rooms for $59/ night, I'd jump on that for sure! It is right next door, and your right, you can't walk, but it's very close!!

Yes Harrahs has the rooms for 59 bucks.. go under the hot deals. Thats a no brainer to choose Harrahs. You are right there.. just dont walk. You will regret the walk once you get about half way there..

Count me in! Now that I have already have tickets to Chicago I find out he is finally coming back to St Louis. Good excuse to catch 2 shows this year. I have a room booked at the Wingate, nice hotel and within walking distance (about a 1/4 mile if I remember correctly).

When I talked with the Holiday Inn, they said they would shuttle people over to the venue, along with free breakfast the next morning. I don't know if that is worth $50 more, but historically in nashville for buffett and other venues, holiday Inn was where its at. I m also skeptical that Harrahs would allow you to tailgate in there parking lot?

Yeah, the no tailgating thing is gonna s***. That's why we're also headed to Chicago in July.

It's a little odd how they released the STL date the day after Chicago sells out...And all the Landshark ads around town.

Last Buffett concert I went to in St Louis in 1999 or 2000 they were a little strict on tailgating but still allowed it. But I think Riverport has changed ownership since then.
