I haven't been keeping up with this thread so I may have missed this. Is Harrah's stumbling distance from the venue or do I need to rent a car?

I agree with you.. forgot about that walk back in the dark. Just throw in the possibility of rain or even a shower and that can make for a pretty treacherous walk.Just Tryin to Get By wrote:That's a tough one LIPH. It's probably a good half mile walk or so on top of a levee (no sidewalk and dark). With the STL weather it's hard to tell if the grass on the levee will be tall or smashed down at that time.
I personally would rent the car, but the traffic at this amphitheater is crazy so you may be able to walk it quicker. Just my opinion and I'm pretty cheap usually.
You may want to try Hotwire for a car. Im renting from THurs-Mon and it was only 89$ with tax. Not sure if they still have that deal. I ended up with a Thrifty car so you may b able to go straight to Thrifty if you are not comfortable with Hotwire.LIPH wrote:I haven't been keeping up with this thread so I may have missed this. STL parrothead- do you know if Dave n Busters is doing anything shuttle wise?? I took shuttle from there last time but the shuttle may have just been for the group I was with. Was along time ago so not quite sure of the arrangement.
NO worries was just seeing if that maybe was an option for some people. Its not that Im a big fan of the place but it was a nice arrangement last time. Have a good one!!!STL PARROTHEAD wrote:hmmmm... I'll see what I can find out though!!
Welcome Willow. It looks as if Harrahs is the place to be pre/post concert. Boat Drunks in Vodoo Lounge for post concert-concert. I have not seen them but everyone has good things to say about them. Looked at their website and looks as if it will be fun. Have a safe trip over from KC!!Willow wrote:Greetings all! New to the site but wanted to say I'm one happy lady that I don't have to drive 7 or more hours to see Jimmy this time though he is totally worth the travel! There are six of us coming from Kansas City and yes, we are staying at Harrah's. I will check back often to see any updates as to where everyone will be gathering pre and post show. Would love to meet each and everyone of you . . and it sounds like that could be arranged.
Wait a minute...does this mean I may be meeting THE Larry? I've heard the tales...LIPH wrote:I haven't been keeping up with this thread so I may have missed this. Is Harrah's stumbling distance from the venue or do I need to rent a car?
