Not to worry, folks...The Boat Drunks start at 10:30pm...not 9pm. They'll play a 90 minute set, so plenty of time to come over and party with The Drunks!

I am sure this was already covered, but can someone tell me if Harrah's is having a shuttle to the concert? If so do you know any details on it? Times, cost, return times, etc...

No, Harrah's won't have one. The St. Louis Parrot Head Club is going to have one, but you need to be a member of a PH Club to ride on it.

we are members of the Central Illinois parrothead club. How do they expect you to prove that you are a member? We don't have membership cards or anything?

Did you get club tickets from the St.L. club? We did, so we were notified to bring our name badges to prove it. I thought all clubs had name badges. You may need to contact your club prez. or ticket coordinator.

We did not get our tickets from the St L club as we are not members. We are members of Central Illinois club and as far as I know we have never had name badges. I thought I read somewhere that Harah's was going to have a shuttle, but I may be dreaming. Oh well we can just walk. I know people say it is further than it looks, but honestly how far can it be? Even if you had to walk all the way down the driveway and down the street it isn't that far. No further than you have to walk from the tailgate lots at Cinci.

We're not members of the St.L. club, but since St. Louis is the closest venue to our club, that's where our club's tickets came from. I'm guessing your club got their tickets from Chicago. We were able to take a bus the last time he was there from Harrah's, but I'm thinking the radio station sponsoring the pre-party might have furnished it. Like I said before, you might check with your club and see if you can get a badge, because you may be able to ride the shuttle if you can prove you're in a PH Club.

Hey Oldmanatee! wanted to answer your ??'s yesterday and never got back to the post  my 'keets were running me ragged....

I think the last time I made it back to Centralia was a few years ago....I know it was before I met you. I want to get back over there someday and take you up on your lunch offer :D wish when I make it down to southern IL I would have more time to hit all my old stomping grounds!
between seeing my mom in St. Louis, my brother and his family in Beckemeyer and my Grandma and friends in Carlyle it's tough. Although I would like to get back there sometime soon especially for that hot air balloon fest, my mom has been to it and loved it.

The Dells could well be the waterpark capital of the world. There are many nice waterparks there. My favorite one is the one where I stayed Monday night, the Kalahari Resort. If you (or anyone else) ever gets up this way I highly recommend it. The indoor waterpark is a toasty 84 degrees year round and is the largest in the Dells at 100,000 square feet. It has a huge wave pool, you can learn to surf there, several hot tubs, couple lazy rivers and tons of zippy waterslides. Oh, and there are a few cute little tropical themed bars in there too so you can watch your kids play and relax with a cold one or two 8) nice play areas for little kids too.
The outdoor waterpark looks nice, I've never been there when it's been open because in the summer we go to Noah's Ark which is a huge outdoor waterpark and a blast no matter how old or how young you are.

I am keeping my fins crossed too for warm weather! I am so d**n sick of cold weather. My snowpiles in the yard finally got done melting on April 5th and I am just longing for an 80 degree day, upper 70's would be good too. I saw a high of 61 for next Thurs. and a low in the upper 40's
hopefully that will all change in the next couple days  I so wanna bust out the halter tops and shorts! I am bringing my rainsuit with me so that will help hold off the rain (ha ha). If I didn't then it would rain for sure. I'm also going to bring the EZ up so IF it does rain we can all sit under it and just keep the tailgate party going.

see you in a week OM! WOO HOO!

If you guys are looking for some Buffettesque/Trop Rock music before you tailgate or go the pre-party at Harrah's, 12 Volt Band (3 piece group)is playing at Syberg's on Dorsett from 2 to 5 on Thursday. They're really good - they are all in or used to be in PHINS. It's 9 minutes from Harrah's according to Mapquest. The address is: 2430 Old Dorsett Road, Maryland Hts.
