Ditto what Molly said. You should be able to find something pretty close to The Woodlands with no problem. Maybe even Conroe area..which is a little further north. the woodlands has EVERYTHING you can think of.
and if you want to head down to the beach - galveston is about a 45 min drive from the woodlands.
