Any word on AC

Post by NAILS »

I assume he's not playing Camden, but I heard AC was still possible. Does anybody have any info on this ?

I have a funny feeling that once Philly sells out on Monday, then they will announce the AC show.

I haven't heard anything from my friend but have been in contact over the past week with the AC convention center's National Sales Manager for unrelated business, she said there is nothing signed yet, and last year the contract was signed 90 days prior to the event.

I wonder then about the possibility of an August/Labor Day weekend show show. We've already got two Great Woods dates, and I'd be shocked if he didn't play Mohegan Sun in August around the time of the opening of the Margaritaville there. Throw in a Manassas show and you've got yourself a nice little tour leg. I wouldn't be all that surprised if that legs looks something like:
Manassas - Aug. 28 Thu
Atlantic City - Aug. 30 Sat
Mohegan Sun - Sept. 2 Tue
Great Woods - Sept. 4 Thu
Great Woods - Sept. 6 Sat

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

Boy I like the sound of that. Manassas on Thursday then AC on Saturday. that sounds real nice and real doable.

My wife and I visited AC last Saturday and as we walked down the Boardwalk past the Convention Hall I stopped to look at "Coming Attractions". Of course, nothing listed about JB as of yet......

But I did see a young lady at the box office so I politely asked "Any word on a date for Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefers this summer?"

She looked at me like a deer caught in the headlights and said..... :o

"Who? Is that a musical act or something?"

Lucky that my wife immediately noticed my teeth and fists clinching and "escorted" me away before I could toss the young lass into the cold Atlantic surf..... :pirate:

Hopefully, she isn't privy to future concert dates or we're all in trouble!!!!

I'd like to see Jimmy bag the Garden shows in September (isn't the same indoors-plus plenty of distractions right after Labor Day)-and it's "offseason". Would like to see a July or August AC show and outdoors show somewhere in NJ (e.g Camden, perhaps even Yankee Stadium).
