I don't know. I was at the Doctor yesterday and he told me I should start checking my blood sugar, but didn't offer any other information. The appointment went by in a blur, and I'm confused now. Am really blown away by the quality of care

Did they give you a meter or anything? I check my blood 3-times a day!
Here is a Diabetes Forum that is pretty good, Everyone there has the Big "D" or is close to getting it! Some very good reads over there. It helped me out a lot, Just remember Carbs are not your friend to keep Blood Sugars Low have to watch them close... And Workout a lot, I do now...

Thanks, and they did not give me a meter. And I'm scared of needles, so i'm not sure that i will be able to test myself.

The Kit test Lancelets don't hurt at all, I don't even notice it any more. Ask your Doctor for a test kit, I know they all have freebies, I have not ever paid for a kit. Just the test strips... Check out that other board its has some great info for anyone who might think they have the big "D".
