I just spent a week in NYC visiting some mates of mine and finally got to try Landshark for myself.

The first one was rough sailing, but after that they improved a bit. Still not something I would buy again, but would drink if someone bought it for me.

Seems like everything good gets to us last in Evansville. We're one of the biggest test markets in the USA and still music and certain beers are slow getting here.

That is what we got told around here too, but we were also told by the distributor that it would be in stores by the 2nd week of February. So...not for sure if I want to hold my breath!

I didn't think Landshark was a "bad" beer, just something I wouldn't stock a cooler full of for a party. I've had a few in local bars here in Ohio and always pocketed the Landshark coster that they give you with the beer to use in my bar.

Hey SoILPrtHed,

Not sure where your from down here but in Carbondale Pinch Penny has been a test market for it since last fall. If its packaged anywhere down here yet, I would bet it would be in there liquor store.
There's no need for it to be 5 o'clock somewhere when it comes to boat drinks!!!!

What's it running for a 6 pack? Last time I went into a liquor store on the southside of Indy I saw they had some "Coming Soon" tags on the racks near the imports. If it's cheaper than Modelo and Pacificia I'll buy it. Otherwise, I'll probably stick with what I like :D
...someplace farther south, where the water's warm, the drink's are cold, and I don't know the names of the players...

I live about 1.5 hours Northeast of Carbondale. I have hit my old college days watering hole 3 or 4 times since it has been there- was hoping to get it a little closer. We have been told by our local stores it was supposed to there in Feb.- no show. It is supposed to be there this week- we'll see! Like it- great lawn mower beer! But, don't want to drive so far and spend as much in gas as I do for the beer!

It has made it to my little neck of Little Egypt as well! But, I am so with you on the prices. I like the stuff, not to keep in the fridge every week, but goes down nice when working or listening to a JB concert on RM during the winter. Like some of my other thoughts- first this, then that and Desdamona only knows what's next!!!!!
