The Wire: Series Finale

***spoiler alert***
Anyone watch the finale of The Wire tonight? I thought it was done (as the entire series had been done) incredibly well. Some of the best parts/aspects I thought from the finale were:
-the mock wake for McNulty was absolutely perfect
-Michael becoming the new Omar
-the crescendo of the Bubbles storyline coming in the form of his decision of whether or not to allow his story to be published in The Sun
-Presbo being given a slot in the episode although he clearly gave up on Duke which was pretty disappointing
-McNulty reaming out Templeton
-the fitting final shot being of the entire city of Baltimore
I had a thousand other things of note but I would go on forever. Anyone else have any thoughts on the final episode or how you wish things would have ended differently?
In all, The Wire will go down in my book as the best series I have ever watched. The ability to weave together 5 seasons that dealt with 5 such distinctive subjects yet have them unfold so seamlessly is something I am still amazed at. It was such an incredibly thought-provoking, gripping, raw and tragic series. Not many people watched it, so for anyone who hasn’t I emphatically recommend picking up the first season on DVD and giving it a shot... you won't regret it.
